The architecture developed in the Inca era is characterized by the simplicity of its forms, its solidity, its symmetry and by seeking to ensure that its buildings harmonize the landscape. Unlike coastal societies such as the fireplace, the Incas use a fairly creative decoration. The main material used was stone, in the simplest constructions it was placed without carving, but not in the most complex and important ones. Inca builders develop techniques for erecting huge, green mosaic walls made of carved stone blocks that fit perfectly, without a pin being able to pass between them. Many times these blocks were so large that it was difficult to imagine their placement, the best samples of this ability are found in the Cuzco area. It is known that the best stone carvers were collas, from the Altiplano and that many of them were brought to Cuzco to serve the state.
